Mrs. Christophe started working as a classroom aid at St. Peter the Apostle in 1997.  In November of 1999 Mrs. Christophe joined the St. Peter's faculty as the second grade teacher.  She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-8) and one in Special Education (K-12) from Northeastern Illinois University.  Mrs. Christophe taught second grade at St. Stanislaus Kostka until she retired early to stay at home and take care of her four children.  Mrs. Christophe and her family belong to the St. Peter the Apostle Parish.  Three of her children have graduated from St. Peter's and her youngest is currently enrolled in seventh grade at St. Peter's.

"I believe that each child is special, and that they each have a valuable gift to share. Most of my teaching experience has been in second grade, so I think God is trying to tell me something.  I enjoy teaching second grade.  The children are enthusiastic and eager. It is wonderful to see how excited and nervous the children are when it is time to receive their First Communion."
