Computer Rules
1. No eating or drinking by PC’s. No writing on the dry erase board.
2. Don’t change anything on your assigned PC
( including Screensaver )without permission. Tampering with PC’s can lead to
suspension and financial liability.
3. Only work on assigned projects using assigned software and websites. Upper
grades keep work in your own folder on server.
4. Only work at assigned PC unless given permission to use a different one. Log
off your grade at the end of class
5. Never print anything without permission.
6. If you need to leave you’re seat or have a question, Raise your hand and
silently wait for response ( Don’t call my name out over and over).
7. No leaving the lab without permission
8. No talking when instructor is explaining a lesson or student has a question
about a lesson .Quiet talking is only allowed when working on a project with a
student at a nearby PC and during group projects
9. Memory/flash sticks may be used but only have files from or for school on
them.
10. Internet Usage
a) All students must sign Internet agreement and are responsible for all rules
contained in it before they can use the Internet at Lab
b) Only use Firefox browser on desktop to access internet
c) No Instant Messaging or retrieving Email or transmitting personal information
on lab PC for any reason.
d) No going to any My Space site or YouTube.com or any other site that might
have inappropriate content on it. YouTube.com may be used if teacher
specifically points you to a video but My Space is forbidden under any
circumstances. You will be sent to the office immediately if caught
using the web inappropriately (See Internet Agreement for details)
